I attended this international conference international conference by invitation. The absence of the public Czech TV was not surprising. I was surprised by the absence of Senate President Miloš Vystrčil, who did not find time to greet the participants of the day-long conference, at least by video. I was surprised by the absence of the flag of Tibet, next to the flag of the Czech Republic and the EU. I urged the organizers - it was installed and 2 ½ hours after the conference started...

China is thinking 30-40 years ahead. Tibet and Hong Kong are in the same threat and situation. The West is still unaware of the danger. 157 Tibetans have been burned to death since 2009! It was an honor to meet Tibetans and Hong Kong people. I managed to make personal contacts with almost all the foreign guests, including young diplomats from the MFA of Czech Republic. (Berlin/Germany) As of January 14th, 2024, my father, Mr. Ding Yuande, has been illegally detained for more than 8 months in the Rizhao City Detention Center in China’s Shandong Province. The European Parliament is addressing the fate and safety of my father by setting an urgency resolution titled “The Ongoing Persecution of Falun Gong in China – Notably the Case of Mr. Ding Yuande” on the agenda of the next plenary session in Strasbourg. After a planned debate on January 17th, the resolution will be proposed for a vote on January 18th, 2024. 

As his son and a victim of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China, I would very much appreciate if the members of the different political groups in the European Parliament would vote “Yes” to pass the EU Resolution. This will not only help free my father, but also contribute to ending the ongoing crimes of China’s communist regime against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

A study published in the American Journal of Transplantation reviewed more than 120,000 Chinese-language publications on organ transplants and identified 71 papers in which doctors removed hearts and lungs from people for transplants without first performing a test to detect brain death. A total of 348 Chinese doctors, including surgeons, nurses and anesthesiologists from 56 Chinese hospitals, co-authored the papers.

In fact, in the Chinese publications highlighted in the study, the doctors claimed that the prisoners whose vital organs they harvested were dead. However, a detailed expert analysis of the information contained in the same publications shows that this could not have been the case.

World Organization to Investigate the Persecition of Falung Gong

Resolutions are not enough, yet they are formal acknowledgments by international authorities. This one also denounces the cases of Ding Yuande and Ma Ruimei, which “Bitter Winter” contributed to expose.

While the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) didn’t decrease in 2023, and the most recent report released by the movement denounces 209 new verified cases of persecution to death in 2023, bringing the total documented number of killed victims to over 5,000 since 1999, a decisive step has been taken by the European Parliament (EP).

China's Denial Of Universal Human Rights - The Ongoing Persecution Of Falun Gong In China

About 20 minutes of audio in which a retired Central Party School professor sternly criticizes the state of the Party under Xi Jinping, and declares the current system beyond repair, circulated widely online earlier this month. The recording is from an address given by Cai Xia, a legal scholar and longtime internal Party advocate for rights and the rule of law, to a private group online. [Update: CDT has learned that this address was given in mid-May.] Cai is currently outside China. CDT has determined the recording to be authentic. The speech has been translated in full by CDT.
