After the Soviet invasion, the fear of repression reigned in society, and "friendship" was not even allowed to be mentioned.
Attempts to create a new 'vocabulary' with the aim, as Ursula von der Leyen put it, of creating a 'Union of Equality' are always a sign of the deep decline of society. It does not matter whether this is done under the pretext of building communism or 'equality'. It is the classic victory of ideology over what is usually called 'common sense' or tradition. It did not work in the era of the building of socialism and it will not work in this era, which is under the guise of 'correctness'. It will only lead to self-censorship, to deepening unfreedom, and it may end up like communism did in 1989.
