Dear Damjan, With the European elections taking place in June, 2024 marks a new chapter for the European Union. I want to begin this year by personally thanking you for your efforts in shaping the future of our democracy. I also encourage you to keep going: more than ever, Europe needs engaged citizens like you who want to make their voice heard and who will help us get out the vote in June. The upcoming European elections are one of the most important in a long time. The next European Parliament will address major challenges that we face both at home and globally. The European Parliament plays a key role in maintaining the EU's commitment to democracy, stability, and prosperity. The recent Eurobarometer survey indicates a positive trend: nearly seven out of ten EU respondents would be willing to vote. This underlines the strength of our vibrant democracy, and it highlights the importance citizens give to these European elections. But, for different reasons, intention does not always translate into people making it to the polls. This is where your invaluable commitment and efforts become even more crucial. Every time you talk about the important implications European decisions have on our lives; every time you mention the importance of the democratic nature of the European project; and every time you mention the importance of participating in this project simply by voting, it resonates with your friends and families, in your communities. In addition, it encourages others to take part too in shaping our shared future. Our message to our communities can be very simple: if you don´t vote, somebody else will and you might not like the outcome. One simple, but powerful way of promoting voter participation is to sign up to receive timely reminders about the European Elections. I invite you to sign up yourself and share it with your family, friends and community members. Together, we can make every voice count! |

Over this past parliamentary term, the European Parliament has made ground-breaking strides setting global standards across key legislative areas. From implementing comprehensive measures to achieve EU climate neutrality, energy efficiency, and sustainability, to introducing regulations for a safer and fair online environment, and to setting up common rules on migration and asylum across the Union, as well as supporting a sustainable, equitable European economy with reduced dependence on external factors. Additionally, we have made pioneering advances with the world's first regulation on artificial intelligence, underscoring our dedication to advancing technological innovation while upholding fundamental human rights. We have also stood firmly with Ukraine and in defence of European values. The next five years present a unique opportunity for the new Parliament to continue this momentum, ensuring that Europe remains at the forefront of addressing the evolving challenges and embracing the opportunities of our times. With the together.eu community, we have the potential to make these elections a historic moment of civic engagement and democratic participation. I count on your active participation and I thank you for being the change-makers of Europe. This email was sent to Tato e-mailová adresa je chráněna před spamboty. Roberta Metsola President of the European Parliament *** P.S.. They can respond to that, they can address elections, but not real reform of the EU against corruption, for real democracy. As if AI itself wrote it...?! JŠ I. PART: Czech-Maroccogate series continued - Czech diplomat in Moscow as a "porn actor" !! Episode IX: Czech-Marocco Gate - Continuing the series: you will die like a dog High game for new ambassadors. A Moscow-Berlin exchange is in the works - Ambassador Tomáš Kafka has been leading the embassy in Berlin for the fourth year, and his standard mandate will end this year. Čistecký is reported to be a candidate to succeed him in the post, which is one of the most influential in Czech diplomacy. He is currently in Moscow, where he holds the position of deputy ambassador and chargé d`affaires in perhaps the most difficult post. However, due to the long-term absence of the Czech ambassador, he is effectively in charge of the office. - Vomit allowed! Will Germany let this embarrassment go? Will Federal President Stenimeier accept a "porn actor" as the new Czech ambassador?! Maybe President Petr Pavel will bring him there on his motorcycle... JŠ
