Hello from Tiggert Museum,
We are in the south of Morocco near the city of Guelmin. Our beauriful palm oasis suffered a huge fire 2 weeks ago and 2 500 palm trees were burned out. Very sad. It is not clear how the fire started. This time it is so hot too. Luckily our historical museum was saved. Allah with us. We show to tourist the history of our nomadic tribes, our clothes, tools and traditions. The fire almost touched the door of our museum. But we were lucky. My cousin came 250 km far away from Alayun, quickly, worried about the museum. Its our life, our roots.
I met Miss Jana from Czech Embassy last year at a festival. She is very intelligent and she showed deep interest in our culture. I admired her kindness and the way she was wearing jellaba, nice Moroccan dress. She gave us brochures from the Czech Republic and later on I happened to accompany tourists from your country in the Sahara. I hope I can visit Prague one day. Miss Jana gaves us with my cousin inspiration and we always miss her. So sad she had to leave Morocco. Hopefully she will be back. I met also Mr. Damjan since we were all taking photos for book for 60 years relation between Czechia and Morocco. He is honorable gentleman, very friendly and both of them opened to me window to Europe. We were planning to do some educational projects for children and reportages . Pity Miss Jana was sent away. But I believe in justice to win.
Have a look at video from our terrible disaster:
