They were arrested for the first time in 2012 and for the second time in May 2023. Read more in this article.
Yesterday, another demonstration by the Falun Gong movement was held in front of the PRC Embassy in Prague. Below I attach a video of the opening remarks by Ms. Veronika Musilova (Chair of the Falun Gong Association of the Czech Republic, z. s.) followed by Mr. Le-pin Ting. For almost the whole time the event was disturbed by craftsmen at a nearby construction site (they stopped only towards the end). There were no media on site, only representatives of the Epoch Times and two photojournalists. I asked one, apparently of Arab descent, as he left, who he worked for? The answer: 'Sinagl you are moron'. I thanked him for his "honesty" and preferred to leave (with certain people you never know what they are capable of). The second one was perhaps from CTK (he looked civilized). Public broadcaster CT has avoided such events for years. I am attaching a PHOTOGALLERY with apologies that the video was prematurely terminated (it mysteriously shut down, fortunately towards the end). Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, pushed through a ban on Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. You can sign the petition and write a letter to the PRC Embassy in Prague, the German Embassy in Berlin, or directly to China (see samples in the PHOTO GALLERY).
The continuous protest in London outside the Chinese Embassy began on June 5, 2002, and practitioners there are determined to practice and meditate until the persecution ends. The documentary Candellight across the street tells the story. It is symbolic that Ronald Reagan Street ends in front of the PRC Embassy, where human freedom and democratic values also end. JŠ
