Putin VladimirRussian corruption starts small but quickly spreads.Putin socha svobody

In President Vladimir Putin’s zero-sum worldview, elevating Russia to the status of a superpower doesn’t require strengthening his own country but rather by weakening the West’s post-Cold War order. The West needs to be more attuned to all aspects of Putin’s troublemaking — specifically his strategic deployment of corruption.

Take the case of his years-long, methodical campaign to enfeeble the Czech Republic with corruption. As a result, this stalwart member of NATO has become an embarrassing pro-Russia mouthpiece that excuses China’s antics in the South China Sea and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. More importantly, it radiates Kremlin-sponsored corruption across Europe.

Brno ND VERAThe National Theatre Brno presented the world premiere of the play Věra on March 2, 2018. The production, subtitled Floor exercise of an extraordinary life, deals with courage, fame, responsibility, heroism, truth and good fortune.

Ascent to the very pinnacle of Olympus and then an abrupt fall. New victories and defeats. The fascinating, nearly heroic story of a woman who refused to give up. A new play by the most-produced playwright in Brno – inspired by the fortunes of Věra Čáslavská.

0 Bata JanZlin, South Moravia, Dec 20 (CTK) - A number of events will be held in Zlin and other towns on the occasion of the 120th birth anniversary of Jan Antonin Bata, Czech businessman and owner of a "shoemaking empire," next year, J. A. Bata Endowment representative Zdenek Mikel told CTK on Wednesday.

The endowment will launch a series of events dubbed "11 Days with J. A. Bata" on February 27 by a debate with writer Marketa Pilatova, the author of the biographic novel With Bata in the Jungle, mapping his fate.

The celebrations will culminate with a conference on the building of the Bata factories and towns in Czechoslovakia and in the world to be held in Zlin and nearby Otrokovice on March 7-8. Economists, historians as well as the family members and representatives of the Tomas Bata Foundation will attend it, Mikel said.

The Voice of the Martyrs presents the inspiring new movie Tortured for Christ, a cinematic retelling of the testimony of VOM founder Pastor Richard Wurmbrand as written in his international bestseller Tortured for Christ. This movie was produced to honor the 50th anniversary of the book’s 1967 release.

Filmed entirely in Romania, including in the very prison where Pastor Wurmbrand endured torture and solitary confinement, this powerful film uniquely presents the story with live action rather than interviews. The dialogue is presented in English, Romanian and Russian (with English subtitles) to hold to the authenticity of this true story.

Tortured for Christ will be in theaters across the country on March 5th, 2018.

To all people I do wish good will – good will that is much better and useful then mean malice.Hrad Tocnik 241217

To people with good will I wish wisdom.

And to all of us, my wish is that people who are full of wisdom and good will shall also become people of action.

Remember, we are responsible not only for our own evil thoughts and deeds, but also for not do or act what and how we should.

It is not enough that we ourselves do not do evil deeds; we have to prevent evil, and do right things, too.

"What we didn't like," said ex-Foreign Min. Lubomír Zaorálek of ČSSD on Czech TV last Thur., "was that we knew that 90% of migrants were getting to Europe with the help of criminal organizations and that the profit from this ... was estimated at €6bn per year." He added that there were leaks about how these criminal organizations had contacts in political circles. As he was speaking, European leaders were again starting to press the CR and its eastern neighbors to accept refugee quotas. "Nobody at the summit but me said that we mainly need to be active in fighting against the smuggling mafia," Andrej Babiš told MFD the next day. "Nobody wants to talk about this." He then told TV Nova that if we are again outvoted on quotas, the existence of the EU will even be more threatened. Is this really what it's coming down to? A choice of defending the interests of criminal organizations profiting from illegal immigration, or the collapse of the vaunted European project?

Army Day - 12:45 min. the beginning of the military show - 16:20 min. the beginning of Donald Trump's speech

Without a strong, free and independent Poland, there will be no free Europe! - During the preaching of Pope John Paul II, a million Poles men, women and children were kneeling to pray together. Millions of Poles did not ask for wealth, they did not ask for privileges. Millions of Poles sang chorus with three simple words: "WE WANT GOD". The Polish martyr Bishop MICHAL KOZAL said it well: "AFTER THE MILITARY LOST IS THE MOST FRIGHTENING DEFEAT OF THE SPIRIT." - WITHOUT SACRIFICE IS NOT GOOD! J.Š. 16.12.2017

Platforma EPS logoPrague, 13 December 2017. The Bavarian state criminal investigation office Munich (LKA München) is starting the investigation of the killings of German citizens on the Iron Curtain in former Czechoslovakia. The respective criminal complaint was filed by the Platform of European Memory and Conscience in August 2016 with the German Federal Prosecutor General. The responsible persons include the last living members of the politburo of the Communist party of Czechoslovakia Milouš Jakeš, Lubomír Štrougal and Peter Colotka. The victims include eighteen-year-old Hartmut Tautz who was killed outside Bratislava in August 1986. This is the first time that Germany is investigating the killings of its citizens abroad during Communism, as well as the first time that high-ranking Communist officials are being investigated by a third country.
