The top ten of the ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities) list is dominated by American and British universities, with Harvard University earning the top spot for the 20th time in a row. According to the ranking, the best Czech school is Charles University, which came in a split 301st-400th place.

It also tracks the number of scientists in the Highly Cited Researchers database or the number of Nobel Prize winners associated with the institution.
