The MFA Czech Republic needs a total reform and purge! Career diplomats are the type of people who cover their backs for the sake of profit, and the interests of the country come second. Jan Čapek produced an audit, the contents of which were unpleasant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He found that the office was not transparently selecting people for highly desirable positions in embassies. A swift sacking followed.
According to the immediate account of Čapek's boss, Hybášková (the personnel chief) was told by Čapek's boss (as heard on the recording) that if journalists learned that the selections were not transparent, "it would be such a headline." Also that the audit report should be classified so that journalists can't get to it through the information law.
Did an article disappear from the front page of Seznam.cz unusually quickly? One of the diplomat's first posts about her experience was no longer found in the discussion of the article. I'm adding more relevant information:
David Syka, an attorney of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, also drafted the decision on the testimony of Dr. Jana Chaloupková (30 years of service in diplomacy, knowledge of 12 languages). Since 2020, she has been deliberately liquidated: 4 times placed out of service, 2 times fired since her return from Morocco in December 2019. She participated in hundreds of tenders, she was not selected even once. This proves the manipulation of the tenders in the spirit of the article. The posts were rather made available to people outside the MFA, while Minister Lipavsky promised to "improve the staffing". In March 2021, she was threatened by phone that she would never get the job, the Secretary of State (Miroslav Stasek, now the Czech Ambassador to the US) decided this with the management and she can still be glad she is alive.
The visa she didn't issue in Morocco was high on someone's business. She should have issued the visas regardless of the regulations. Is that all the citizens are paying taxes on? The rule of law informed the HR director of the Ministry of Interior about the warnings with threats that were repeated, she didn't care. The Police Presidium acknowledged receipt of the complaint, also did not respond. The MFA needs a total reform and purge!
