Says move was based on advice from FBI
The laptop of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, became the subject of multiple media reports in October 2020 after the New York Post broke the story. According to the reports, content found on the laptop showed Joe Biden’s as well as his brother James’s and son Hunter’s involvement in various overseas business ventures in countries such as Ukraine, Russia, China, and other countries—including during the time Joe Biden was vice president during the Obama administration—and showed payments received in connection with their involvement. The laptop also contained other content, including pornographic images and illicit data.

Pfizer cannot use the government as a shield from liability for making false claims about its COVID-19 vaccine, lawyers for a whistleblower argued in response to Pfizer’s motion to dismiss a False Claims Act lawsuit.
“Respondents claim fraudulent certifications, false statements, doctored data, contaminated clinical trials, and firing of whistleblowers can be ignored based on the theory that they contracted their way around the fraud,” lawyers for Brook Jackson, who worked as regional director at one of the clinical trials used to develop the Pfizer vaccine, wrote in their Aug. 22 response.
“A drug company cannot induce the taxpayers to pay billions of dollars for a product,” they countered, “that honest data would show poses more risks than benefits, and that ignores the actual contract and the law itself.”

Travellers to the 26 Schengen Area countries who need a Schengen visa to be eligible to enter, however, day by day, are more likely to face another hassle, that of having their visa application rejected. In 2021 the rejection rate of Schengen visa applications worldwide reached its peak, with 13.4 per cent out of the total number of travellers receiving a negative response in their application.
According to Schengen Visa Info, there are 12 reasons for which visa applications are rejected most frequently, including here a criminal past of the applicant, a damaged passport, the invalidity of one of the documents submitted, and insufficient financial means to support travel, etc.
Morocco is also among the countries that have experienced a steep increase in the number of rejected visas year by year, from 15.3 per cent of applications being rejected in 2017 to 18 per cent in 2018, 20.5 per cent in 2019, 23.6 per cent in 2020, and as many as 27.6 per cent in 2021. Dr. Anthony Fauci is stepping down from three government positions that he currently holds, he announced on Aug. 22. He’s resigning as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, and chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden.
“Dr. Fauci is conveniently resigning from his position in December before House Republicans have an opportunity to hold him accountable for destroying our country over these past three years,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) said in a statement.
Fauci has drawn ire for recommending lockdowns as a bid to slow the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19, acknowledging that he deliberately misled the American public on mask-wearing, and defending NIAID funding for the laboratory in Wuhan, China, that’s located near the location where the first COVID-19 cases occurred. Nurses who witnessed “brutal” hospital COVID-19 treatment protocols kill patients paint a bleak picture of what is taking place in state and federally funded health care systems.
“They’re horrific, and they’re all in lockstep,” Staci Kay, a nurse practitioner with the North Carolina Physicians for Freedom who left the hospital system to start her own early treatment private practice, told The Epoch Times. “They will not consider protocols outside of what’s given to them by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the NIH (National Institute of Health). Eight Czech universities are among the top 1000 universities in the world in this year's ranking, one more than last year. The top ten of the ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities) list is dominated by American and British universities, with Harvard University earning the top spot for the 20th time in a row. According to the ranking, the best Czech school is Charles University, which came in a split 301st-400th place.

A new calculation by Daniel Gros of the Center for European Policy Studies shows that German industry paid more for natural gas through the end of last year than competitors in many other European countries. FAZ latched on to this as a dispelling of the myth of cheap Russian gas. "One could of course argue that Russia sold its energy cheaply to Germany to make the country dependent," Gros wrote, "but the data challenges the common perception that Germany receives cheap gas." He didn't mention the CR, but he provided a link to data that show that Czech industry actually had cheaper natural gas on average than Germany through the end of last year, and much cheaper gas than Poland.
